Unbiblical

I have really been thinking a lot lately about how unbiblical we are as “Christians”. As leaders of the church are we willing to take the blame for this? We (being very general here) as leaders have let unbiblical ways govern our churches and unbiblical thoughts and actions permeate our people. We are nothing like Jesus. With our white congregations sitting comfortably in their pews (that they feel they payed for) having their egos stroked and all the while lying to them that they are what Christ envisioned when He spoke of His future followers.

The cool news is that are churches that are tearing down this facade that has been the face of “Christianity” for way to long. Churches that are embracing all people regardless of race or social economic background. Churches that have a clue that Jesus is our example and the He came to “seek and serve the lost” and commissioned us to “go make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”.

It time that we (and I’m speaking to myself in very harsh tones) get out there and show the world that Jesus loves them. What are you going to do about it?
